Darker Than Blue

llumiNessence EYE2025*(aka Ness of the hip hop group A-Alikes) brings the soundtrack to our future with his first solo project, EYE2025*Chapter1. Set in Ratner Heights, (the area formerly known as fort Greene/Clinton Hill/Downtown Brooklyn, now owned entierly by construction mogul/re-gentrification king Bruce Ratner) EYE2025 Chapter1 is a dystopic vision of the future, a future that is rapidly approaching. Started as an idea for a screenplay, the project turned into the eerie but psychadelic sound of 2025*. Blurring the lines between genres, the album twists and turns through sounds, creating a musical fusion like no other.

Coming from the revolutionary hip-hop group A-Alikes, illumiNessence is no stranger to the game. For years he and  his partner A-Black, along with the rest of the RBG / People Army family (dead prez, Divine of the Dey, Umi, Dedan, etc) have been on a mission to bring to light the world of the have-nots, and send out a call to arms to rise up, educate and build community.

Tasha Mabry When you watch Tasha Mabry perform you get the sense that she has been doing this for quite some time, her timing is on point, the way she directs her band and her connection to the audience. Not only does she possess smooth, sultry vocals but she also has a very unique sound. Her fashion style and singing style are reminiscent of mid-seventies Roberta Flack and the sound she introduced at that time.

Having lent her voice to "Ownlee Eue" by famed Rapper/MC Kwame and also been a part of the business side of the industry, Tasha brings a resume of experience as a performer, songwriter and business woman. Her CD The Remedy is a collection of cool, enticing tracks that lead you
into a world where you can picture an intimate scene at a lounge, your favorite wine and her smooth sounds being played for your pleasure.

Meta Dia (of Meta and the Cornerstones) Considered “the future of reggae music”, by The National Geographic, Meta and the Cornerstones fuse afropop, hip-hop, rock and soul with an inter-national mixture of vocals. This synthesis of reggae and soul with powerful lyrics and feel-good melodies creates something that transcends oceans, borders, and language barriers. Consisting of seven members who are as diverse as their music, each brings their own unique background to create a unifying and soul-pounding experience for audiences.
