 Sound Liberation Front & Conscious NYC present an evening of socially conscious beats from around the world. This reggae/ska/dancehall-themed evening will feature Treasure Don & The Black Tiger Band, Kevin Batchelor of The Skatalites, DJ Q Masta from Sound Liberation, and special guests Mista Chatman, DJ Mystery from Chung Intl. Hailing from the Bronx, singjay Treasure Don was a choirboy for Manhattan's famed Cathedral of St. John the Divine before immersing himself in his Jamaican preacher father's reggae collection. He created a hybrid of gospel's power with with reggae's heart. Treasure Don will be performing with his Black Tiger Band, featuring trumpeter Kevin Batchelor of the legendary Jamaicain reggae/ska band The Skatalites. Sound Liberation's own DJ Q Masta will be spinning alongside the ultra-danceable dub/reggae/roots beats of Seattle's Mista Chatman, DJ Mystery(Chung Intl.)
