Third Annual African Day Parade

Annual African Day Parade and Festival in New York City, bringing together all people from Africa, the Caribbean, the Americas, Pacific Islands and all Pan-African people everywhere, and showcasing the Beauty, Richness and Diversity of African Culture. The first African Day Parade and Festival took place in August 2007 in Harlem, New York, USA. It has since become a great and colorful annual tradition, honored by the US House of Representatives, the NYC Council and soon the NYS Senate, among other august bodies. Come and join us in this Celebration of Africa with African drums and dance groups, African masked dancers, costumes, traditional outfits, accessories, musical instruments (djembes, tam-tams, shekeres etc.), religious, social, and professional organizations, various associations, schools, bands, steppers, singers, performers and much more! |
